you need to have a wireless adapter for you xbox. once you have that, you can connect automatically
well there are two to three options. You can connect to your router via an ethernet cord. Just plug it to the back of your router and xbox and you are good to go. You can also buy the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter. It is expensive, usually costing about 100 dollars but it is totally wireless. All you do is hook it to the back of the router and you are good to go! Finally, if you have a computer in the room you wish to play your Xbox 360 at, you can can connect to a computer via the ethernet port.

This kid above me knows nothing. You need to go to your local gaming supply and buy the wireless adapter for xbox live. It is pretty spendy, but it is the price you have to pay to play live with a wireless router.
